An Unusual Summer

“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us”

Sydney Bridge Climb

When I look back at family photos from over the years, the happy snaps of summer with its long sun-drenched days are among some of my happiest memories.  This summer has been far from typical for all of us, and I hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.  Finding joy in the simpler things, whilst also dreaming about spreading our wings once again and indulging our passion for travel.

My family and I are riding out the crisis in Australia, exploring more of my home country and the land down under.   I am sure it comes as no surprise, I feel quite antsy being grounded and deeply miss the ability to explore and travel freely.  It is evident many of you do too, and we have been delighted to respond to many of your “SOS” for a much-needed escape.  It has been a summer of roaming a little closer to home, exploring our beautiful National Parks, hitting the road by car or RV, or taking in some of North America’s amazing destination properties like Amangiri, Brush Creek Ranch and Twin Farms to name a few.

As we navigate new protocols and the evolving face of travel in a pandemic, remember that we continue to stay at the forefront of this evolving travel landscape.  We live and breathe travel, so be sure to reach out with any questions or requests.  Which hotels can provide distancing in spades and lots of outdoor pursuits?  What properties have a robust safety plan within driving distance from home?  Where do you like to spend Thanksgiving?

Stay well and keep dreaming.

Monique
